About Me

I am a freelance feature writer based in Cambridgeshire. My interests include parenting, culture, trends, the internet, mental health, social affairs, and personal finance.

Formerly a staff feature writer for The Independent and the i paper, I continue to write freelance for both papers and have since also been published in The Guardian,  The Observer, British Vogue, Fabulous Magazine, Women's Health, and Happy Mum, Happy Baby.

I was one of five journalists shortlisted for "Best Feature" at the Freelance Journalism Awards 2023 for my Guardian article on having a baby just as my twin sister miscarried.

I have radio and TV experience, with multiple appearances on Woman's Hour and an appearance on Sky News Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes. I have also written a number of celebrity interviews, including with David Attenborough, Fearne Cotton, David Tennant, and Nick Grimshaw.

I trained as a teacher in 2019 and currently work three days a week as a secondary school English teacher, alongside freelance writing and looking after my toddler son.
